Large Size French Table Linens in Demand

Who would have thought that the term "large" could become so popular? Well, in this case "large" is not only better, it is a preference.

In our casual survey of friends and customers, we have noticed that people are chosing large tables for their home dining. And thus, as many of our clients entertain often, we have noticed an uptick in the requests for longer and/or wider tablecloths.

To respond to the increase in customer demand in our shop and online, we have created a special area on our website devoted ONLY to Large Size French Linens.  A large tablecloth is defined as 75" or more in width and at least 149" length.

Our most popular sizes of tablecloths from Le Jacquard Francais and Garnier Thiebaut have a standard width of 69" inches or less, and most have a length of 98" or 126". These sizes have always been available and continue to be very sought-after.

Mywalit Leather: Color, Color, Color

Color is everywhere this summer. After receiving numerous comments from customers begging us to bring back the Italian leather line from Mywalit, we finally did!

I must admit, this is one beautiful line of wallets, handbags, checkbook holders, coin purses, card holders and passport covers. Not only are they colorful and fun but they are practical and functional too. Have you ever had to search around the bottom of your purse looking for a dark wallet? These wallets are super easy to find.

This past year, I noticed women would be paying for a gift at our counter in the shop and out would pop one of these Mywalits that the customer had previously purchased from us years ago. We would hear stories about how wonderful and long-lasting the wallets have been, how beautiful they are, and how strangers would often inquire as to where these wallets could be purchased. Well, we are happy to help you out!

Father's Day

I want to wish all dad's out there a wonderful and special Father's Day.

The image above is a photo recently unearthed by my sister who is busy compiling our family history.  I had not seen it before and was especially taken by the sweetness of my Dad who is consoling and/or helping my older brother understand something important. My Mother took the photo.

Dad and my brother are both dressed in their Sunday-best attire and sitting in the playground area near the family apartment in St. Louis, Missouri, 1953. I love my brother's hands, the "I am thinking" look on his face. And I love my father's arms gently surrounding my brother as he sits on his lap.

My father passed away in 1997. I think about him today with much love in my heart.

Colorful Hand Blocked Silk Ties

Just a quick post today. We received some stunning and glorious hand blocked silk ties (top 3 tiers of this display). Robert did the picking on these as he really loves a beautiful tie. They are very soft to the touch, and the deep colors and designs are eye-popping. I displayed them on a white bamboo ladder with other great collections of silk ties in our shop, just in time for Father's Day (June 17th)!
